QBIC Annual Event 2017

Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC) held its annual event at the Toowoomba City Golf Club on Saturday 1st of April. To kick off the weekend, a golf event was held of the Friday 31st of March. This year was the first for a school summit instead of the typical conference, followed by the usual Gala Dinner and Awards night.

The school sector touched base on the STAS transformation project, overall the initiative was said to be worthwhile and well received.

The school summit was followed by an Annual General Meeting, glamorous Gala Dinner and Industry Awards night. As always it was a great night, catching up with fellow members, making new friendships, along with a delicious meal and awards.

We were very honoured to be presented with the 2017 Supplier of the Year Award, as well as acknowledged for 25 years in the bus industry. Minister of Transport granted the award to Darryl White, founder of Whites Diesels Australia.

“It was a great night, the highlight was being awarded with the 2017 Supplier of the Year Award, was a very proud moment, Darryl said.
