Partnerships Build Public Transport
Monday April 4, 2016 – The Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC) organized their 2016 Conference with the theme: “Partnerships Build Public Transport”. No single person or organisation can deliver efficient and cost effective public transport, it must be done through strong working relationships between Government, Transport and Main Roads and the Bus and Coach industry. Was this achieved during the 2016 Conference? Our Branch Managers from Townsville, Gold Coast and Brisbane attended the QBIC Annual Conference 2016.
Saturday April 2 Hon Stirling Hinchliffe Minister for Transport and the Commonwealth Games opened the QBIC annual Conference and presented the awards in the evening. It was an informative and engaging full day Conference Program followed by the Award Dinner. “It is imperative for us to embrace the humble business culture of the Queensland bus industry and to understand the prevalent business environment for operators. The QBIC conference offers an excellent opportunity for us to do just that. David Tape and team did an excellent job organising the event and it was refreshing to see the Minister for Transport and Commonwealth games attend”, says Klaus Hahn, CEO Whites Diesels who joined the congress together with the Queensland branch managers Keith MacKay, Colin Moses and Michael Haydock. Whites Diesels is a platinum member of QBIC.
